About Us

Les Blancs Bois is set in over 4 acres of gardens in the parish of Castel, a more rural part of the island, and just a mile away from the stunning beaches of Cobo Bay which boasts some of the most spectacular sunsets.

Saumarez Park, Guernsey’s largest public park, is in walking distance; here you can relax and explore an exotic collection of plants from the Far East including camelia and bamboo.  The park is also home to The National Trust of Guernsey's Folk and Costume Museum, and a small café offering everything from ice creams to a three course lunch.

Residents of Les Blancs Bois are also welcome to make use of the KGV Cricket Club facilities, only a minute’s walk from the estate. There are also a number of leisure opportunities in the vicinity, including tennis, spas and 2 beautiful golf courses.

A pleasant ten minute drive will take you to the town centre of St Peter Port, or to the island’s airport.

We are part of Cognatum, one of the UK’s leading retirement living providers with over 40 years' experience in designing and managing estates.  Les Blancs Bois was built in 1987 in the grounds of the manor house and offers 44 spacious and airy apartments.

People

While part of Cognatum, Les Blancs Bois has its own board of directors.

Greg and Helen Scholtz are the estate managers providing all of the local services.

Greg and Helen are responsible for the everyday management of the estate. As well as taking care of the organisation, grounds and maintenance, they are on hand for a friendly chat and to keep a discreet eye on the wellbeing of residents. They also respond to any emergency calls.

When Helen and Greg are away, they have a wonderful team of deputies who manage the estate.

Stephen Dale is the director in charge of day-to-day operations. Stephen has operational responsibility for Les Blancs Bois and supports Greg and Helen.
